This extension allows for 5-6 player play of the Cities & Knights Expansion. What is needed is:
1. The Catan base game;
2. The Catan base game 5-6 player extension;
3. The Catan Expansion expansion.
The box includes 2 additional game sets of player units, extra resource and development cards and extra water and resource tiles to enlarge the playing field.
As with the Cities & Knights Expansion, the Rules differ a bit from the normal Catan base game.
If you own the Seafarers Expansion and Extension, the Cities & Knights Expansion and Extension is compatible with the base game that has Seafarers incorporated as well. It will extend the playing time of a game, but this is outweighed by the fun that will be had.
