Star Realms Deck Building Game (Card Game)
- R 253
Star Realms is a spaceship combat deck-building game by Magic Hall of Famers Darwin Kastle (Battle for Hill 218) and Rob Dougherty (Ascension Co-designer).
Star Realms is a fast paced deck-building card game of outer space combat. It combines the fun of a deck-building game with the interactivity of Trading Card Game style combat. As you play, you make use of Trade to acquire new Ships and Bases from the cards being turned face up in the Trade Row from the Trade Deck. You use the Ships and Bases you acquire to either generate more Trade or to generate Combat to attack your opponent and their bases. When you reduce your opponent’s score (called Authority) to zero, you win!
With multiple decks of Star Realms, one for each two people, you can play scenarios that allow for up to six players.

Amazing 2 player card game

Has many expansions if you somehow get bored.
More than 2 players? No problem just buy two more base game card packs and you can play with up to 6 players!
Definitely worth the money even if just for the beautiful artwork on each card.
Good filler game

A quick pick up and play game

The game has a competitive feel to to it without it seeming like you cant play a casual pickup game.
For a long while, this was my wind down game after a few hard core xwing rounds, which always ended up be an entertaining few r

Great game. Easy to learn, difficult to master. I've played a lot of similar games and this is definitely one of the best.

The aim is to destroy your all your opponents "Authority" ie their life; thereby destroying their entire space fleet that they have worked so hard to buy. I picked up the game play of Star Realms within a few minutes. That experience made me want to play more and more.
A game usually takes about 20 minutes to complete. Despite this quick play time the game offers a wide range of options, attacks and strategies and feels like a complete satisfying game every time. It is well worth having on you shelf. The expansions are not necessary though do add an extra dimension to your quest of inhalation.
It says for ages 12+, but I play with my 10 year old & he has no difficulty with game play or destroying all my "Authority".
The cards are good quality and the card art is excellent.
