Are you brave enough to enter the dungeon?

Reviewed by on

Fabulous miniatures, sturdy map tiles, wonderful artwork and a captivating Dungeon theme makes for a highly engrossing dungeon crawl in Descent 2e. You can choose to play cooperatively with a company of friends against an Overlord player or go at it solo with the Road to Legend application specifically designed for your smart device where the Overlord is automated by the app. Each character levels up as gold and loot is gathered during the various missions. New weapons, gear, charms, potions etc helps each hero overcome the evil monsters lurking within each newly discovered dungeon room. A comprehensive yet clearly laid out rulebook makes gameplay quick and easy to grasp. Arguably one of the best Dungeon Crawl games you can play. But beware it is by no means a walk in the park. Monsters also have various skills and attributes which they cunningly use to foil the plans of the heroes. Whether it be a disgusting club-wielding Ettin, a ferocious Barghest, or near-invincible Shadow Dragon, you can be sure that every monster poses a challenge that will test your mettle. Between missions you can rest in the nearest city and buy gear and items that will (hopefully) aid you on your next encounter mission. Are you ready to accept death as your possible fate? If not, then rather don't enter the dungeons of Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2e.
