The Mind is more than just a game. It's an experiment, a journey, a team experience in which you can't exchange information, yet will become one to defeat all the levels of the game.

In more detail, the deck contains cards numbered 1-100, and during the game you try to complete 12, 10, or 8 levels of play with 2, 3, or 4 players. In a level, each player receives a hand of cards equal to the number of the level: one card in level 1, two cards in level 2, etc. Collectively you must play these cards into the center of the table on a single discard pile in ascending order but you cannot communicate with one another in any way as to which cards you hold. You simply stare into one another's eyes, and when you feel the time is right, you play your lowest card. If no one holds a card lower than what you played, great, the game continues! If someone did, all players discard face up all cards lower than what you played, and you lose one life.

You start the game with a number of lives equal to the number of players. Lose all your lives, and you lose the game. You start with one shuriken as well, and if everyone wants to use a shuriken, each player discards their lowest card face up, giving everyone information and getting you closer to completing the level. As you complete levels, you might receive a reward of a shuriken or an extra life. Complete all the levels, and you win!

For an extra challenge, play The Mind in extreme mode with all played cards going onto the stack face down. You don't look at the cards played until the end of a level, losing lives at that time for cards played out of order.

A fun experience for a simple game

More of an experience than a game, it is really fun. A worthwhile buy for any boardgamer.

So easy it's hard.

Just lay down the lowest card in your hand...while playing a silent game of chicken with your loving wife, whose eyebrow arch hints that her smile may be for the benefit of the children. The mind is a funny, silly, tense game that will give you a genuine sense of relief after brief anxiety attacks.
Now pick up your cards, focus and put your hand on the table. New round, focus.

Enjoyable Stress

This game's concept is so easy yet it is so challenging. Try to get to know the other players and how they think while also trying to get them to know how you think, all without saying a word and keeping a straight face. It's brilliant fun, quick and easy to learn and challenging enough to play over and over again.

Excellent Family Game

I started playing with my son and we could not put it down. Each game you do a little better. We then played with 3 players and it just felt like a different game with 3 players. I would recommend 2 and 3 player. 3 players makes it more of a challenge.

A very good game, that is easy to learn at a very reasonable price.

Fun simple game that's easy to play, difficult to win.

I really enjoyed this game, it's great to play with people you know well. The objective sounds simple, progress through rounds of ever increasing number of cards, while playing your number cards in ascending order only. Your have a limited number of lives for mistakes, and a couple of cards that can help along the way, but the trick is reading the mind of team mates, to figure out who has the lowest card to play, and doing so without breaking the rules (of course bending them to breaking point is half the fun). Recommended for a fun couple of hours with friends.

Great party game

What a fun party game. It is easy to learn and quick to play as well. It is extremely hard to play with poker face as all the parties involved is one team and you need to win as a collective. Get this game today, you wont be dissapointed.
