I had watched many YouTube videos to start the hobbie with, Carcassone was one that gets mentioned consistently. I have now played this with older and younger players, the teach is relatively simple and the game plays out between 30-45 minutes. It has the feel of building a puzzle together, while being competitive enough to want to block other players from scoring. Loads of fun, quick to get on the table and best of all no dice hammering down on the table.
