Summary

Author Bio

Karen Ahlschlager was born in East London, South Africa. Karen's childhood provided her ample opportunity to draw, and she pursued it with passion. She spent hours in the library pouring over illustrated childrens' books. After finishing high school, she went on to study graphic design, earning a National Higher Diploma in Graphic Design, majoring in illustration. Karen lives on a working farm outside of Cape Town on the West Coast of South Africa. The abundant plants, animals, birds and beauty of the surrounding landscape provide inspiration for many of her illustrations. Karen's work is discussed and featured in a book entitled; "Best Practice: The Pros on Adobe Photoshop" written by Toni Toland published by Delmar Learning, New York. Recent publications include "Die Teddiebeerbus en Ander Rympies" and "Holderstebolder Rympies vir Rakkers" written by Jaco Jacobs.
