The great Norse myths, which have inspired so much of modern fiction, are dazzlingly retold by Neil Gaiman. Tales of dwarfs and frost giants, of treasure and magic, and of Asgard, home to the gods: Odin the all-father, highest and oldest of the Aesir; his mighty son Thor, whose hammer Mjollnir makes the mountain giants tremble; Loki, wily and handsome, reliably unreliable in his lusts; and Freya, more beautiful than the sun or the moon, who spurns those who seek to control her.

From the dawn of the world to the twilight of the gods, this is a thrilling, vivid retelling of the Norse myths from the award-winning, bestselling Neil Gaiman.

A GREAT READ

First off the cover of this book is amaze balls! I just freaking love it!
I've always been fascinated with Norse Mythology. Gaiman does what he does best - tell beautiful stories. His retelling of the Norse Myths, featuring such characters as Odin, Thor and Loki along with a host of other lesser known gods and characters is fantastic. He does his best to stick to the source material and not stray too far from the myths themselves, by writing it in his own language he brings the stories to life. It is the perfect book to start with if you want to learn more about Norse Mythology and its very complex characters and their inter locking relationships.
