Description
Josh lives with his aunt after his mum's sudden disappearance. When a stranger tries to abduct him from the farm, he is saved by the housekeeper, who tells him that he is in danger and must flee to the Kalimbula Valley. He must find the wise man Ngandu in his cave. Josh meets Njeri, a girl who knows her way around the valley. Ngandu tells them to search for a golden calabash, but Josh has to undertake this journey alone. When the calabash is opened, Josh gets the surprise of his life . . .

Summary
