Customer Reviews

Poor Wifi range

Reviewed by on (Verified Buyer)

Its a good modem but the range is not very large which is disappointing cause that was one of the reasons I changed to this modem. First one i received had heating issues then just randomly died. Received a replacement from raru. Has a really nice UI. Asus is always a good brand choice but this modem... Just not good enough for the price.

so far so good

my old netgear router finally gave in, and i bought this as an upgrade, very easy to set up with handy features like the guest accounts and easy network printing.

so far so good

Great Device

Reviewed by on (Verified Buyer)

Bought this for its fiber and media streaming capabilities. The 5GHz network works great for streaming even though the 5GHz wifi range isnt the greatest, however I am very impressed with 2.4GHz range.

It is very simple to set up and got my fiber, printer sharing and 3G failover setup very quickly.
The User Interface from Asus is the best Iv seen when compared to Netgear and Lynksis.
For the past couple of months that I have had this device I can't remember the last time I have had to reset this device when compared to my previous routers which I had to reset almost daily.

Overall this is an awesome product and works very well.

Easy to setup with ample customisation

Got this as it has modem included and where I am in South Africa we may still be limited to DSL for awhile (compared to VDSL or fibre).

Seems to work fine with Telkom.

Very easy to setup with ample customization should I feel the need to tweak it or add guest connections etc.
