SNES CLASSIC EDITION REVIEW - A super library saddled with a few inconveniences.
Aqeel D onReviewed by
Nintendo has opted for quality over quantity with the SNES Classic’s library,
Contra III: The Alien Wars
Donkey Kong Country
Final Fantasy III
Kirby Super Star
Kirby's Dream Course
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mega Man X
Secret of Mana
Star Fox 2
Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
Super Castlevania IV
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World
It remains an absolute joy to play the vast majority of this selection of the SNES Classic’s excellent library, whether for the first or fiftieth time But the tiny, delightfully detailed console makes it quick and easy to have an authentic ‘90s Nintendo experience with some of the greatest games of that era.
A definite buy in my book, great for just about anyone who enjoyed playing video games in the 90s.
A great idea for a birthday gift or Christmas present wink wink .
I just want to win the console

Would recommend it to anyone even those who did not play these games growing up.
Great little machine

The gameplay and sound seems to be spot-on too.
The controller cord is really short, so unless you are sitting at a desk while using it, you will eventually need to get an extension for the controller cable, or a long HDMI cable + a USB cable extension. Or a wireless controller...?
USB power adapter not included, but for most people that should not be a problem as you can plug the included USB cable into your TV or Playstation or DSTV box to power it.

Only got it yesterday but for a good 3 hours me and mum sat playing Super Mario Bros. again, laughing and trying to remember where all those hidden mushrooms and money blocks were!
100% a product I would recommend to anyone who loves games!
Exactly what I wanted for my kids

Awesome product with major setbacks

Unfortunately, like with all great things in life, this is not a perfect product. The approximate 1m length cord of the controllers is a major letdown and results in the overall crux to any form of enjoyment that could be had from the system, so unless you are willing to sit 1m away form your large LED flatscreen, then an extension for either your HDMI and mini-USB->USB or Controller is almost an necessity, which ends up adding hidden costs on top of the original purchase.
