Tough, wise-cracking narcotics cop Rita Rizzoli (Whoopi Goldberg) goes on the trail of some poisoned cocaine, nicknamed 'Fatal Beauty', which has found its way onto the streets of Los Angeles. She finds an ally in bodyguard Nike Marshak (Sam Elliott), who has connections with a local businessman who could be involved.
