Description

James Stewart and Maureen O'Hara star in this 1960s comedy adapted from Edward Streeter's novel by screenwriter Nunnally Johnson. Roger Hobbs (Stewart) is a stressed banker in need of a holiday but a trip to the seaside with his wife Peggy (O'Hara) and their family proves to be far from relaxing. Their vacation gets off to a bad start when they realise their rented beach cottage is a poor excuse for a holiday home. Roger also has to contend with a lazy son, a self-conscious daughter and two difficult sons-in-law, not to mention prying neighbours.
