Synopsis
In this thrilling continuation of the epic space opera, ex-stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega), scrappy desert dweller Rey (Daisy Ridley), and droid companion BB-8 get caught up in a galactic war when they come across a map containing the whereabouts of the vanished Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). They soon embark on an epic adventure that brings them face-to-face with heroes from the past, as well as new villains such as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order, a fascist regime that has emerged from the ashes of the old Empire. Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, and Anthony Daniels return to reprise their roles as, respectively, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and C-3PO. Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Gwendoline Christie co-star. J.J. Abrams directed from a script he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt. The film also features new contributions from composer John Williams and sound designer Ben Burtt, whose familiar palette of sounds have helped define the STAR WARS universe.

Hi all, just going to keep it short and sweet...grew up with Star Wars as a young kid, watched it over and over and over and will watch it till I can't anymore, never get tired of Star Wars. So I guess that says something. STAR WARS go go !!

Chewie, we're home.

Listen, The Force Awakens isn't a perfect movie. It is almost, beat for beat, a reimagining of A New Hope. That's not a bad thing in and of itself. In fact, its exactly what the series needed. Its familiar enough that fans of the original will, and do, love it, while being different enough to add to the universe. The movie does a great job of reintroducing old characters, bringing in new ones and, importantly, showing us the galaxy thirty years after we left it. There is enough world building for the next two movies in the trilogy, as well as quite a few questions that leave you wanting more.
Again, its not a perfect movie. It is however, a near perfect return to the star wars franchise. Frankly, if you haven't seen it yet and are even remotely familiar with Star Wars, what in the name of Yoda are you waiting for?

A blast from the past that will make any Star Wars fan tear up from nostalgia. King Mickey was kind to this one and remember, always let the Wookie win!

Our favourite childhood hero’s are back in this rip roaring space adventure setting the stage for the next generation in the greatest saga of all time. Up there with the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings sagas it truly is an epic journey well worthy of any movie buff blue ray collection – including special bonus features of note. Truly an instant classic well worth the price!

Great follow-up to the original trilogy

The Force Awakens was a return to the fun, atmosphere, action, and quality contained in the original trilogy. Unfortunately, these elements were missing from the prequels, but I felt like a kid watching Star Wars again for the first time during The Force Awakens.

Excellent sequel to the previous trilogy.

This is what a Star Wars movie should be. It reminds you of the original trilogy. It has story, character development, adventure and lots of action. You are never board and my the end of the movie you cannot wait for Episode 8. I loved this movie, it was why more than what I expected of it.
