Description

Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heart-warming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.

Movie Critics
A.V. Club
"The music, cheerful and unobtrusive and making liberal use one of the The White Stripes’ nicest song, 'We’re Going To Be Friends,' is nice."
Katie Rife (15 Nov 2017, )
Chicago Sun-Times
"Owen Wilson gives one of his most endearing performances in years as Auggie’s dad."
Richard Roeper (16 Nov 2017, )
Empire
3 stars out of 5 -- "Roberts is as watchable as ever, her ability to convey complex emotions with a brief look undiminished..."
Liz Beardsworth (28 Nov 2017, )
Hollywood Reporter
"WONDER brings an upbeat openheartedness to tough questions. Its lessons in compassion and self-acceptance are treacle-free...those lessons pack a universal punch."
Sheri Linden (12 Nov 2017, )
Los Angeles Times
"[T]he film does maintain the book's effective structure, which involves telling its story from the perspective of multiple characters, and it’s got a narrative brimming with a variety of serious-seeming problems, all of which are capable of being resolved if people simply acted according to their better natures."
Kenneth Turan (15 Nov 2017, )
New York Times
"WONDER is that rare thing, a family picture that moves and amuses while never overtly pandering."
Glenn Kenny (16 Nov 2017, )
RogerEbert.com
3 stars out of 4 -- "[G]enuinely moving....Uniformly strong performances help ground the story."
Christy Lemire (17 Nov 2017, )
Rolling Stone
"The good news is that writer-director Stephen Chbosky sidesteps the more blatantly cloying clichés inherent in the genre and finds a beating heart that mostly transcends the heavy dollops of Hollywood sugarcoating. A first-rate cast doesn't hurt either."
Peter Travers (17 Nov 2017, )
The Guardian
"[Chbosky] has a gift for understanding young people and the nuances of their relationships. This is drawn out in the performances from the child actors..."
Simran Hans (3 Dec 2017, )
