"[T]he great Denzel Washington hits a variety of notes reprising his role as McCall, in a brilliant performance that often rises above the pulpy, blood-soaked material."
Richard Roeper (18 Jul 2018, )
Empire
3 stars out of 5 -- "[W]hen you’re in the hands of old stagers like Fuqua, writer Richard Wenk and Washington, even the predictable can elicit pleasure."
Chris Hewitt (20 Jul 2018, )
Hollywood Reporter
"That the old veteran is still at the top of his game is apparent here in the Bond-like opening..."
Todd McCarthy (17 Jul 2018, )
Rolling Stone
