Description
Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly star as famous comedy double act Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy as they embark on a tour of Britain and Ireland during their final years. Playing to half-empty halls the pair are no longer as popular as they once were and as they attempt to boost ticket sales with a number of public appearances their relationship is tested by the emotional strain of touring. After many years of great success Stan and Ollie are made to face up to the harsh realities of their twilight years. The cast also features Shirley Henderson and Nina Arianda.

- Synopsis
- Based on the real life story of world famous comedians Stan Laurel (Steve Coogan) and Oliver Hardy (John C. Reilly) as they reach the end of their careers in entertainment, this comedy drama directed by Jon S. Baird captures the desperate lengths the comedy duo have resorted to sell tickets to their stage shows. Set in 1955, and as new talent is coming to the comedy circuit to replace them, the pair face some unpleasant realities about their careers. Written by Jeff Pope.
