"Steinfeld rocks the most genuinely stylish look of any TRANSFORMERS lead so far....She brings a raw-nerve irritability to Charlie..."
Jesse Hassenger (14 Dec 2018, )
Empire
4 stars out of 5 -- "It’s a sensibility balanced perfectly by Steinfeld’s Charlie, still raw from the death of her father. Bumblebee enters her life when she needs him most and the relationship is believable and touching..."
(26 Nov 2018, )
New York Times
"BUMBLEBEE is cleverly plotted, neatly allusive and has dialogue you can envision real people and, um, real Transformers speaking."
Glenn Kenny (18 Dec 2018, )
Rolling Stone
3 stars out of 5 -- "Think E.T., but with auto parts. Or, possibly: THE IRON GIANT, stuck in a world where only ’80s action movies and vintage teen-angst movies exist."
David Fear (17 Dec 2018, )
The Guardian
"Knight’s touch gives the proceedings an old-school feel; the machines seem more tactile than their smoothly designed descendants, helped along by the 1987 period setting."
Simran Hans (29 Dec 2018, )
Total Film
4 stars out of 5 -- "Knight’s origin story makes refreshingly light work of its uphill climb, fuelled by wit and warmth."
Kevin Harley (8 Dec 2018, )
