Digitally remastered and expanded three disc (two CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of this classic album from Chrissie Hynde and Co. includes a generous helping of bonus tracks plus a DVD containing promo videos, TV appearances and more. Eighth album VIVA EL AMOR! was issued in May 1999 and was produced by Stephen Street and by Stephen Hague. It features the hits "Human" and "Popstar". The 10 bonus tracks include b-sides and different mixes, three songs recorded for soundtracks not previously compiled, and a one-off collaboration with Bernard Butler. The DVD features two promo videos, along with five BBC TV appearances from Later and Songwriters' Circle. The booklet in this digipak edition features all the lyrics, the singles sleeves and photos.

Born out of the British post-punk era of the late 1970's, Pretenders have evolved mainly as a four-piece outfit with various members around core vocalist and songwriter Chrissie Hynde, playing a distinctive style of rock and pop.
The latest (2002) line-up as featured on the 'Loose Screw' album is:
Chrissie Hynde (Lead vocals, guitar), Adam Seymour (Lead guitar, backing vocals), Martin Chambers (Drums) & Andy Hobson (Bass).
Other notable ex-members include:
Pete Farndon (Bass), James Honeyman-Scott (Guitar), T.E. Stevens (Guitar), Robbie McIntosh (Guitar) & Malcolm Foster (Bass).
