Lauryn Hill and Nas Live in South Africa in 20195 Sep 2018
Legendary singer and poet Lauryn Hill has announced that addition of a South African date to her upcoming world tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The tour will also feature platinum selling rapper Nas as a special guest.
Hill rose to prominence with the Fugees in the mid 90's, but it was her 1998 solo album that catapulted her in superstardom, earning her 10 Grammy Award nominations, of which she won 5. Although she hasn't released a full-length album since, she has continued to tour and release music.
Nas's career also began in the 90's, and while has hasn't won the industry awards that Hill has, he has earned critical acclaim and has been named among Billboard's 10 Best Rappers of All Time. This will be his first time performing in South Africa.
Hill and Nas will be performing at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on the 2nd of February 2019, and tickets will be available on Friday the 7th of September from Big Concerts. A portion of the ticket sales go towards the MLH Fund, which directly contributes support for education, health, agriculture, technology, and community-based businesses and development initiatives.
