Good entry level Uke for a beginner

Reviewed by on (Verified Buyer)

I have been playing with my Uke on average once a month for the last year. I find the quality to be acceptable for an entry level Uke, to see and find out if the Uke thing is for you or not. The quality is good and the sound it produces is clear, given that you press down on the strings correctly. The first couple of times you play, you will have to tune the Uke - which is normal.

The original strings are of good quality, I still have the original strings on the Uke even after a year of playing. But if you are planning on playing a lot, purchase an extra pair of strings with your order. This is something I recently learned, by watching tutorials from Bernadette teaches music on Youtube. It is normal to change strings often, if you play often and it also depends on your play style.

The bag that comes with the Uke is the reason why I dropped a star. It is not the best bag, but it still protects your Uke from dust and scratches. Take note that this Uke does not come with a shoulder strap or tuner - I suggest purchasing those items with your order as well.

My overall view of the Staff UC-30 is positive; thus, I can recommend this product in conscience.
