STEP INTO A WORLD OF ADVENTURE
Forget everything you know about The Legend of Zelda games. Step into a world of discovery, exploration and adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a boundary-breaking new game in the acclaimed series.
Explore the wilds of Hyrule any way you like
Climb up towers and mountain peaks in search of new destinations, then set your own path to get there and plunge into the wilderness. Along the way, you'll battle towering enemies, hunt wild beasts and gather ingredients for the food and elixirs you'll need to sustain you on your journey.
More than 100 Shrines of Trials to discover and explore
Shrines dot the landscape, waiting to be discovered in any order you want. Search for them in various ways, and solve a variety of puzzles inside. Work your way through the traps and devices inside to earn special items and other rewards that will help you on your adventure.
Be prepared and properly equipped
With an entire world waiting to be explored, you'll need a variety of outfits and gear to reach every corner. You may need to bundle up with warmer clothes or change into something better suited to the desert heat. Some clothing even has special effects that, for example, can make you faster and stealthier.
Battling enemies requires strategy
The world is inhabited with enemies of all shapes and sizes. Each one has its own attack method and weaponry, so you must think quickly and develop the right strategies to defeat them.
You can tap the Wolf Link amiibo (sold separately) to make Wolf Link appear in-game. Wolf Link will attack enemies on his own and help you find items you're searching for. A new series of The Legend of Zelda amiibo is also on the way. Find out more in the amiibo section.

I have close to 200hrs and is one of only a few games that I have to force myself to put down.
And this is coming from someone who was never into RPG's and never quite got into the Zelda fandom.
A Breath of Fresh Air for the Zelda Franchise

Inspired by modern classics such as Skyrim, Dark Souls, Assassin's Creed and the Witcher; swim, climb and glide your way from the snowy peaks of Mt. Lanayru to the depths of Gerudo Valley which have all been beautifully reimagined in scope and scale. With a blend of cell shaded visuals reminiscent of Windwaker with the style of Skyward Sword, Hyrule is rendered in all of its glory in one of the most visually impressive games of all time.
Exporation is only one of the many things that have been improved upon in the latest installment in the classic series. Zeldas infamous dungeons are back with over 100 shrines dotted around the huge expanses of Hyrule filled with intricate puzzles testing even the most veteran of players. Combat has been radically transformed to account for the calamity stricken Hyrule by forcing players to watch their equipment and be constantly prepared as durability forces players to reconsider their tactics. Items return in the form of innovative specialised weapons for environmental situations, or powers granted by Shiekah technology. Freeze water to make a path up a waterfall, or magnetise a wall to reveal hidden passageways underneath Hyrule Castle, fell trees using an axe to create a bridge or a hammer to break rocks or use your shield as a sled to make your way down steep slopes.
Breath of the Wild, winner of multiple Game of the Year Awards, is one of the greatest games of all time and will please both avid fans of the franchise and introduce newcomers alike to the epic saga. Breath of the Wild breaths new life into the saga while still being the classic Zelda we've grown to love.
Greatest of all Time

I have been playing the Nintendo Switch version mostly and it seems there are very little differences between the two versions apart from performance issues on Wii U.
This game is the Greatest of all Time.

Aesthetically, this is the most beautiful Zelda game to date, with superb design and stunning, varied environments. This complements the sprawling map and sense of wonder which it provides. The decision to to make an open world Zelda game pushes the series in an exciting new direction, and it has paid off.
Gameplay has been revamped, with more objects and enemies to interact with than ever before. Weapons now have durability. A cooking system has been introduced. Link can make use of new, powerful runes to manipulate the world around him. These additions breathe innovation and life into one of gaming's most beloved franchises.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an early contender for game of the year, and provides hope for the future of the Zelda series. There's something in it for everyone, and I highly recommend it to all.
All time favourite

I would definitely recommend this game to RPG fans, well worth the seemingly high price.
