Great next installment of the Far Cry franchise.

Far Cry 4 is a great next installment to the Far Cry family - Building on Far Cry 3 did, while tweaking and refining some of its elements, Far Cry 4 creates an immersive world, complete with it's own mythology aspects and great storyline that sees you making some very hard moral choices along the way. Kyrat looks beautiful, and you can almost smell the fresh, crisp mountain air, mingled with the smell of burning gunpowder and incense. The undulating, mountainous terrain is great this type of solo FPS gameplay, allowing you to use vantage points, cover and the uneven environment to aid your stealthy approach or gung ho attacks. The game favours stealth over wild trigger-bashing, and it makes the game feel poised, tense and oh so satisfying when you clear out an outpost. The gameplay is obviously not as fast and "slippery" as other popular FPS contemporaries like Titanfall 2 or Battlefield 1, but it's not meant to be. The laboured, chunky feeling of the game suits the aesthetic of Far Cry 4 purposefully and perfectly - you really do feel like a foreigner in a foreign land, clawing your way through the harsh environment, fighting off wild animals and military fanatics, while all the while trying not only to survive, but to become the alpha predator in this beautiful Kyrat. You can almost taste the blood and dirt in your mouth. a near perfect single player FPS in my opinion, and a great continuation of the Far Cry legacy.
