Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities.

In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world:
It ended the crisis and helped to maintain peace in the decades that followed, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. But after many years, Overwatch's influence waned, and it was eventually disbanded.

Overwatch features a wide array of unique heroes, ranging from a time-jumping adventurer, to an armored, rocket-hammer-wielding warrior, to a transcendent robot monk. Every hero plays differently, and mastering their abilities is the key to unlocking their potential. No two heroes are the same.

Whether you're engaging in combat on the front line, providing defensive cover with your energy shield, or supporting your allies by amplifying their damage, every hero's abilities are designed to be effective as part of a team. Learning to utilize your abilities in concert with your teammates' is the key to victory.

Teams of heroes do battle across the planet. From protecting the secrets of the mysterious Temple of Anubis, to safely escorting an EMP device through King's Row, the world is your battlefield.

Cheers Love, The Cavalry's Here!

Phenomenal multiplayer team based first person shooter, Blizzard really shows the love they have for Overwatch with new content, updates and additional characters being added to an already impressive roster (for free), the characters are one of the best things about Overwatch as they're all filled with back story in a very impressive lore which makes each character so unique. It's a great game to play with your friends as their is quite a lot of strategy involved in the 6 vs 6 objective based maps. It's definitely my favourite online game and I think everyone should at least give it a try.

The Current King of MP shooters

Enter this energetic, rock-star world with iconic characters that only a developer like Blizzard can come up with.

Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer shooter. I wished I could bold or underline the team-based part. This isn't your usual online shooter. It really requires teamwork and coordination. Once you get a hand of the mechanics you'll come to realise what an awesome shooter this is.

Graphics are crisp, netcode is solid( I play on a 4mb line and never lagged or rubber-banded once), the sound and music is absolutely on point!

The only downside I would say is that there is no single player campagin (although easily overlooked, this coming from a person that prefers SP campaigns esp RPGS) .
There are tons of game modes, Blizzard keeps on adding new characters and maps : all for free btw! No dlc, no pay to win gimmicks.

This is easily my GOTY for 2016!!

A new era of gaming on console

Blizzard have brought to me what so many Warcraft and Dota fans have had for so many years: passion and love. A once off buy (granted, cosmetics can be bought), Overwatch is an incredible experience. Since I hesitantly bought it in June, I have become enamored in the world Blizzard have created. Intricate world details and character backgrounds have only augmented this experience. I recommend Overwatch not only as a game, but as a vivid piece of art to anybody interested in online games.

This is a brilliant game, lots of fun, works well even with a slow internet connection

Game of the Generation

Overwatch combines the best features of FPS', MOBA's and team based games to craft a genuinely unique experience and has set the standard for first person shooters.
A diverse cast of characters, interesting abilities, different game types, constantly expanding and evolving content and competing online with friends and people from around the world means that no match will ever be the same and will always be fun and action packed.
Free DLC from developer Blizzard and their track record of supporting games for years means that the value you get out of this game outweighs any price. I wasn't ever a fan of FPS games before but this game has changed that for me, Overwatch is a must have.

Amazing and fun ...but

Overwatch is a well polished by team shooter, with the promise of free D.L.C and years of support from blizzard. the annoying loot system and lack of competitive play on release and no mode available without an internet connection really sucks. Don't get me wrong this game is pretty fun, however the game greatly encourages team play and without a party of friends your frustration levels are sure to rise.
