A schooling in psychosis (and Norse mythology)

This game is visually crafted to perfection. It looks great on a 4K screen and the audio design is incredible. Players that love puzzle solving and epic scenery will love this title. The fights can get a little monotonous though. Either way this is an exceptional game.

Completely Mental

This game is one of the most unique games I have ever played. It is difficult to understand in the beginning, but the more you get to know Senua, the more you will understand why she is on the journey that she is on and the deeper meaning behind it.

SPOILER:
The game reflects what a person with mental illness goes through and makes you see, hear and experience what it is like. It is psychologically breathtaking and it leaves you thinking about it long after you finished the game.

This game is filled with puzzles, challenges and epic boss battles and it always tends to mess with your mind, especially those voices...Playing this game with headphones is a must. The game itself is absolutely beautiful, the graphics, the characters, the story...

Wow, just wow. I would definitely recommend this.

A gift from Hell

From the moment the game starts, it's graphics, animation, voice acting and sound design pull you in. The bi-neural audio swims inside your head as the voices guide you, push and pull you towards your objectives. There is no map, there is no HUD. You gotta pay attention and more importantly, listen to the voices and sounds and look for slight shifts in your peripheral vision. The first 10 min introduce you to the character, and set up the story. It is exactly 10min in where you have your first battle... and boy oh boy do they push it. The fight will go on as long as necessary, getting harder and harder with more and more enemies until you go down. This is where it explains about perma-death and how that particular mechanic works. From there it turns into an exploration / puzzle game with fighting encounters every 5 to 10min with increasingly difficult opponents that force you to change up your attacking and defense tactics. It really got my blood pumping. The fighting is so well done, and the boss battles are intense. The 3 bosses I've fought so far all had me winning but hanging on by a thread. Very close. Very satisfying. The story is deep and layered too. Norse Mythology, mental sickness, a will for survival, and a mission to bring a loved one back from the dead. It's better than I imagined. Playing it with a decent set of headphones is an absolute must. I'll admit that it probably isn't for everyone, but the story and graphics are so good while walking around, and the combat is so good while fighting that I think this is a game I will play beginning to end more than once.

A hell of a game

This game is one of the best hack n slash, story driven games on the market. Created by the same studio that gave us heavenly sword, enslaved and D.M.C. It's a must have for any Ps4 owner.
