An amazing collector's edition, and and even more amazing game.

The unboxing experience for this product is amazing. It's worth the price just to open the glorious box. First thing you are greeted with is a fantastic artbook filled with beautiful artwork. Below that is the game and Steelbook, which has a marvelous design. The Sound Selection is top notch. It only has a few of the music tracks from the game on the CD, but all of them are wonderful.

This game is fantastic. It takes some time to get used to the combat system, but once you understand it, you come to realize how excellent it really is. It's a complex and well crafted system. The locales in this game are stunning. It's great to just take a minute to look around and enjoy the view. Story wise, this game is very anime-like in it's tone. Some interesting scenes, and some very indirect dialog. Character design is amazing in this. Absolutely gorgeous game.

Excellent Collector's Edition

The best collector's edition of any game I've purchased! Everything is presented in a large high quality box, which can be displayed with either the red or golden sides of the cover being visible. The artbook is great, and I prefer the softcover format to a clumsy hardcover. I also like that both a steelbook and a standard game box is included, which allows you to choose which housing to store the game in. Oh, and the soundtrack CD is beautiful too!

As for the game itself, I am still working through it, and since it's a long game I'll likely be busy with it for months. So far I am enjoying it though, and the battle system is largely a continuation of the earlier titles in the series, with the biggest changes being to the control method for selecting arts. One change that I don't like is the resource collection method, I much preferred the system in the older games as the new one seems to slow down exploration a little every time you stop at a resource point. But it's not a big deal.

Overall a great package and an enjoyable game. Well worth it!

A lengthy JRPG that has a distinct anime feel

For the collectors: The package itself is beautifully done with the artbook being great in detail, a sadly limited soundtrack cd which showcases the music but you would want more and a steelbook case for the game with a standard gamecase.

The game itself has a distinct anime artstyle with the main characters carrying the bulk of the detail as well as their traits being the main focus of the game. The combat as basic yet deep, giving you additional tutorials even until the last battle. A combat guide is recommended if you want to get the most excitement from the combat early on. The world itself is large and with enemies ranging beyond your level in every zone you will be revisiting them once you are higher levels.

The game in handheld mode sadly reduces its resolution that will make the game look muddy and low detail so for now it is a better TV experience.

The game is around 80 hours long. Highly recommended as one of the best titles of 2017 and on the Switch to date.

Massive JRPG..

If you need to have that true JRPG itch scratched, this is the game to do it! It is absolutely massive with tons of side content on top of the long campaign. The cast of characters make the journey interesting from start to finish..

Long....But Great

So when i first started playing this after watching many mixed reviews.....i think they swayed me to NOT enjoy the combat style of auto-battle.... The game seemed slow and not much 'point'. But after 20 hours of playing (still on chapter two) I am REALLY enjoying the game, if you enjoy Anime, it is like watching a really good one while also feeling apart of it and in charge of the characters. The game is MASSIVE and can leave you looking for the next objective for quite a while - Against other reviews out there, there IS a marker showing you where to go, but there are things you need to have read in the beginning to know how to use it accurately, If you dont understand changing levels etc, you can find yourself lost....for pretty much....well until you get turned off the game. ALSO NOTE!!!!!!!!! The game VERY SELDOMLY SAVES!!!!!!!!!!!! so you have to go into the menu and save the game yourself.....i learnt this the hard way after my first 8 hours of play and turning of the switch for the night :(. Everything else aside....if you have time, and you waiting for something like Bayonetta...or you just want a game to pick up and play in-between others to have a break....i reckon this is a great buy. Not 5 stars purely based off my own personal opinion
