id Software, the studio that pioneered the genre, is bringing the critically acclaimed DOOM to your TV and anywhere you want to be! Slay hordes of demons with devastating guns in single-player and crush your friends in online multiplayer.

Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you're obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

You've come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation's massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone DOOM Marine, you've been activated to do one thing – kill them all.

A Relentless Campaign
There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell's raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock-down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways.

Return of id Multiplayer
Dominate your opponents in DOOM's signature, fast-paced arena-style combat. In both classic and all-new game modes, annihilate your enemies utilizing your personal blend of skill, powerful weapons, vertical movement, and unique power-ups that allow you to play as a demon.

We're all DOOMED!!! Doooomed, I tell you...!!!

So Bethesda and Panic Button did what no Ninty-naysayer said they would do...port a current-gen FPS over to that dinky little Switch gizmo! Who will buy it, they mused. Nintendo is for kids, they chuckled. Well, choke on this, suckas!!! We have 2016's DOOM running great on Nintendo's new hybrid. Very playable, although some slightly downscaled graphics that seem a bit waxy in some cases, particularly in handheld-mode. But it remains the full experience (noting that you have to download the Multiplayer-portion separately...a bit of a hefty download, too. About 8GB if I recall). I suppose the Framerate-Nazis will have a thing or two to say about the occasional framerate dip. But for us who enjoy a variety of games, this is pure heaven! Adventuring in Super Mario Odyssey one moment, and the next bashing in demon that's gaming! Thank you Bethesda & Panic Button. I've got Wolfenstein : The New Colossus on my radar now...

Game seems to stretch the Switchs' resources to the max but it translates to an awesome experience that you can take on the go!

Great port of a great game

I have the PC version of DOOM but jumped on the chance to play this shooter on the go.
While the graphics to take a bit of a knock, this is still a beautiful looking game to play on the move.

The controls are tight and responsive and the entire package translates well to the switch.

History was made.

A few bugs popped up but nothing that removed the immersion. It's pretty stable and looks very good considering the hardware limitations. This is the perfect hack and slash game. Nintendo is trying to bring in the more mature gamer and hopefully this game will open the door to many more third party support.
