Brutal just the way we like it

Everything you want from a Mortal Kombat game. The gear system is a little grindy but still worth a pickup.

It's a good game, but is good, good enough?

Not much improvement to older games, I feel like they could have just updated their previous version as opposed to getting us to spend more money on a new disc.

Best one of the new age yet

Brillant game. For a fighting game, there are really hours of play to it. After completing the brilliant story mode, there are still tones left to do. The crypt is almost endless as it can be refreshed for new items, an the customizations on each character can really help in playing the game the way you want. Also the challenge towers are true to it's word, it is challenging and the fact that it also refreshes at specific times always make it feel new.

Definitely worth the buy!!!

Mercy me

This game is a great addition to the Mortal Kombat series, the story continuation off the last one, as well as how they brought the old Klassic characters back was epic.

Story mode always delivers, especially the final boss fight.

Yes you do need to always be online for your character customisations to be available (PS4 version at least), but that is linked to your PS profile, so if you go visit a friend and play locally on his console, it brings your customisations with.

Oh and yes, performing a Mercy on your opponent is an excellent way of showing off, as you get to kill them again in the same fight.

As always though, it is just a game, and it is just for fun, blood guts and gore.

The gameplay is better than anything I've experienced in a fighting game before

Mortal Kombat at it's best

Outstanding effort put into making this game! Best fighting game out there by far! Amazing kombat, great roster and definitely worth every cent!

Great combat

I got MK 11 and the combat is really smooth and it all looks really great. It is incredibly satisfying to get accidental bone breaking moves and the sounds make me cringe as it sounds so real.

Overall I loved it until I got to issues like maintaining network connection when playing online battles but that is just the natural problem with playing online in SA. I also found it irritating to complete some of the requirements for getting gear and skin content like achieving 150 Krushing Blows is lot of effort to achieve.

All in all I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try fighting games or loves fighting games.

The game is great but there are big problems with the game in general you need psn network account to get access to gear and krypt and towers of time if you don't have internet look somewhere else

The best Mortal Kombat yet

Reviewed by on

Even though the game has yet to be released, from gameplay and public events, it is shown that Mortal Kombat 11 is shaping up to be the best game Netherrealm studios have made. The gameplay is influenced by both Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat X. This gives players a variety of "k"ustomisation options through gear and much more fluid gameplay, yet slower in pace, has been shown off. The roster and character design seem to be awesome as well. I can't wait to face all of you! You're next... Thanks for reading : ).
