In a far distant future, a psionic hormone was discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it. Just as humanity was entering this new era, deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. Highly resistant to conventional attack methods, extreme measures needed to be taken to battle the overwhelming threat and preserve humanity. Those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psionics, were our chance to fight the onslaught from above. To this day, psionics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force (OSF), humanity’s last line of defence.

After playing for several hours the fighting stands out, which is important since this can be a +40 hour game from what I’ve read. The main characters use telekinesis to slam objects into enemies. Once I got the hang of it with the various combos it was a blast. Even if the enemies aren’t that diverse I’m still enjoying grinding when the story pauses. The levels are fairly linear but there are break points where the game opens up and you can choose to explore previous areas or keep moving the plot along.
I recently discovered that there are crossovers from the game to the tv show that they added into the game. I really like this because watching the first two episodes that were released of the show has reinforced the character development and story versus just playing the game.
Overall this is one to check out if you are into these sort of games.
